Beauty Therapy NVQ Level 4
VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Treatments — the advanced qualification for serious aesthetic careers.

About the course
This advanced programme takes qualified therapists into the fast-growing world of laser and IPL aesthetics — a skill set in constant demand across salons and clinics. It runs as a fast-track programme: alongside your assessed sessions you'll complete home study assignments, and it is essential to work on clients in a realistic salon environment. While on NVQ training with us you can also take up volunteer work experience to build professional competency.
What you'll learn
- The core knowledge for IPL hair removal, including safe, effective treatment on dark and medium pigment skin, covering all areas of the body
- Homecare, contra-indications, lifestyle patterns and future treatment advice
How you'll be assessed
Practical assignments
Hands-on treatments observed and assessed in realistic salon conditions — including practice on colleagues.
Theory assignments
Written work covering the science and safety behind laser and IPL treatments.
External examination
Independent assessment to national VTCT standards.
Results & client satisfaction
Real treatment outcomes and customer feedback form part of your final assessment.
Flexible by design
The course runs as intensive part-time training, structured to fit between a busy work or study schedule. Support from our dedicated staff is available on request throughout, so you can truly excel at your new skills.
Fees & instalment plan
The course fee is £1,200 — and unlike other institutes we offer a completely interest-free instalment plan: one payable fee that can be spread into monthly instalments. A minimum 25% deposit is required to hold your place, and full payment must be received before the course completes.
Who should apply
Working therapists holding a previous Level 3 qualification in Beauty (Laser and Skin Rejuvenation) who want to specialise, raise their earning potential and offer advanced treatments with confidence. A uniform must be worn during training.
